In addition to serving in various capacities of leadership throughout the years, Rev. Baity was involved in a variety of other endeavors that prepared him to embrace lost souls, and to minister to the total man regardless of challenges or limitations. During his time in the ministry one of which has been extremely helpful in helping him to learn about having great concern for the lost and to effectively do ministry and to do it well, descent, and in order; especially concerning those who are in nursing homes, the poor, the broken and abused.
In following years, God released him to embark upon his own ministry. He was called as pastor of the Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago on January 11, 2009. His charismatic style of preaching and “old soul” characteristics has captured the attention of the congregation. As a sower goes forth to sow, he has an anointing that allows him to minister to those in need of healing of the mind, body, and soul. With such a great calling to fulfill, he finds time to conduct bible study, teach, pray for those who are sick, write letters to members, conduct a pastoral prayer line ministry, and spend time studying God’s word.
He is a current faculty member of Chicago Baptist Institute, and there he teaches Baptist Doctrine and Evangelism. He is supported in his ministry by his wife, Sonia and their 10 children. His ultimate desire is to minister to the total man, in worship, in the word and in witness. He desires to see people fully embrace God’s love and walk in victory and power, while experiencing the fullness of God’s promises.
